Te Kuiti is not the culinary capital of New Zealand. It does however offer a good range of provincial New Zealand eating with some memorable highlights. Notably these are:-
Bosco Café - Open for breakfast - right across the road from Waitomo Lodge – Bosco offers café food that compares with anything offered in the major centres. Voted runner-up in the prestigious Café of the Year competition in 2001. A very popular café serving top quality Atomic coffee.

The HUHU Cafe and Restaurant - Located at Waitomo Village, this new restaurant is the latest venture for the Bosco owners. This licensed restaurant is ideal for your evening meal. The HUHU Cafe and Store recently won the Waikato Topshop Retail Excellence Award for New Businesses and Innovation in Retail. Riverside Lodge - Located in Te Kuiti this fully licensed restaurant serves a traditional rural menu. A full menu is contained in your compendium.

Roselands - Situated on Fullerton Road, just out of Waitomo Village.This popular tourist stop in a lovely rural garden features an excellent barbecue style lunch.
Thirsty Weta - In Otorohanga main street, this pavement style café serves wonderful bar food at good prices.

Otorohanga Club - At Otorohanga is the Otorohanga Club which has a fully licensed restaurant serving very well priced meals. Access by card available from the lodge reception.
